Josep Maria's multidisciplinary background allows him to combine the rigor of engineering, the potential of advanced data science, and the strategic vision of business management. His career has led him to manage large engineering projects, digital transformation in international environments, and the development of economic studies for infrastructure investments. Josep Maria approaches each project as a new challenge where the proposed technological solution must always be aligned with the real needs of clients, delivering real impact to the organization.

Throughout his career, he has worked at international organizations such as the United Nations and the OECD, where he led projects on economic analysis, business competitiveness, strategy, and digital transformation in complex environments. His work combines applied research, the design of data-driven digital tools, and advisory support to companies, governments, and public institutions. He is a member of the Interdisciplinary Research Group on ICT – Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (i2TIC-IA Lab) at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

Since 2017, he focuses on the practical application of artificial intelligence and data science to improve decision-making, automate analysis, and develop technology solutions with real-world impact, bringing a pragmatic view of how to turn AI into tangible economic value in regulated and complex environments.
